Kayleigh Pincott is an Australian vocalist, composer and teacher with a Bachelor of Music in jazz voice from the Queensland Conservatorium. In 2016, Kayleigh was awarded the coveted ‘Generations in Jazz’ Vocal Scholarship from a field of six finalists Australia-wide, naming her the best young jazz vocalist in the country.
Having just released her debut album Solace, Kayleigh Pincott is quickly establishing herself as an important voice in the Australian jazz scene. Released in May last year, Solace features original compositions and arrangements in a contemporary jazz style, exploring Kayleigh’s individual musical voice and culminating in an album of mature jazz compositions.
Kayleigh has collaborated with some of Brisbane’s best young jazz musicians on Solace, featuring Sophie Min (piano), Zac Sakrewski (bass), Lachlan Hawkins (drums), Tristan Rogers (trumpet) and special guest backing vocalist Kieran T. Stevenson. Acclaimed Australian pianist, Steve Newcomb joins the team as producer.
